Pommes de la Terre (rough translation - Earth Apples)
Créations sur le champs Land Art | Mont Saint Hilaire | 2011
We know that the apple tree uses water, earth and the sun's energy to create an apple. Yet the process of the apple coming into being is still somewhat mysterious. In the orchard, I wanted to make a kind of 'alchemical' apple with these elements, an attempt to tap into the mystery of metamorphosis. I am interested in the way one thing becomes another and the ability of materials in our world to transform.
Visitors to the orchard were invited to pick an apple.
